The day that all gamers can't wait for outside of their anticipated games for the year. The Electronic Entertainment Expo is where us gamers can sit back....a lot more than usual and see what's coming to the gaming world.
Last year was amazing with the reveal of Fallout 4. I didn't even know they were working on it for so long, and yet it premiered on YouTube and at the event. Normally I and perhaps many others were expecting a 2016 or 2017 release and then they drop the bomb when they announced the game would be dropping in a few months. It was one of those moments where you say, how did they keep that so silent? It's amazing what secrets the entertainment business is able to keep these days especially with how easy it is for someone to spread the word with the power of the internet. Which makes me think for a second, can history repeat itself?
Sony filed a mysterious trademark for a title called 'Days Gone' and people started to wonder what it could be. Surprisingly though, Sony has done an incredible job keeping it a secret. Remember when they filed a trademark for 'Bloodbourne' and many believed it was for a possible 'Dark Souls' related game. Well it actually became that and people weren't disappointed as it became one of the top PlayStation 4 games on the market with some even saying it's the first game to surpass 'The Last of Us' for best exclusive. Speaking of 'Last of Us' that's what many now believe that trademarked title 'Days Gone' is for a possible 'Last of Us' sequel. Gamers do get these things right more times than not and I wouldn't be surprise if this is considering on how much of an influence the 'The Walking Dead' has had on the game. The title is also an episode of the 'The Walking Dead' as well, which makes it even more likely, but again these are just rumors.
Bethesda has also announce that they will also be returning for a second showing at the event. Now it's too early to assume that they will be releasing an 'Elder Scrolls' title, but good lord imagine if they did show that off at the event. The gaming world would probably go into a frenzy. I love the idea of getting an 'Elder Scrolls' game, but wouldn't it be too soon for it? Unless they been working on both games at the same time. I mean Naughty Dog did it with 'Uncharted 3' and 'The Last of Us', but we'll not talking linear, cinematic games here, we'll talking a large open world environment completely full of content to have you play for hundreds of hours. Anything is possible though and I can't wait for the show.
In my honest opinion it would be a miracle for them to surpass what they did last year. Whatever the gaming companies have in mind, I hope they keep it a secret because I want that Christmas feeling again when it comes time. What do you guys hope to see at this year's E3 conference? Tell me in the comments and lets wait and see!

'Last of Us' Sequel Opinion Honest Post
Welcome to the very first edition of "If I'm Being Honest" where I talk about something and give my brutally honest opinion on it. Today we be diving into the video game industry and on one of my favorite games "The Last of Us".
I already hear the "here we go again" sighs from some of you and I get it, this game been talked about so much it might as well become a daily page in your newspaper...that is if you still read the news non-electronically. I'm not talking about the original game however, I'm talking about the possible sequel that been rumored from mid 2015 to now. I'm not going to get into detail about trademarks filed, or interviews. No none of that jazz, because lets face it, you can't believe everything you see on the internet right? I wish I could say wrong there and confirm a sequel but here's to hoping. Now on to the show.
Now if you know what "The Last of Us" is, then you know who Joel and Ellie are. Ellie is the tough, innocent, young protagonist in the game whom is immune to the virus...fungus infection thing. As for Joel, he's the man that doomed all of humanity...lets face it at this point that's what some of us remember him for. These characters make "The Last of Us" special. They are the franchise players of the game and should be for at least another one. Which brings me to my honest opinion of, I'm not even going to consider buying the game if it doesn't feature Ellie and Joel as the main characters.
Why do people feel the need to say they need to move on to other characters? Like who? Tommy? The man didn't have a lick of charisma in the first game to even put him on the game cover. Marlene? She's better suited in a DLC and we already know of her fate, so why base an entire game on her. Bill only was entertaining when interacting with Ellie, which was like watching a heckler try to keep up with a comedian. In other words the game worked because everything was for something very important. Ellie has the cure in her blood and Joel had to take her to the Fireflies. See that, nice, simple and motivation to see if they'll make it there.I feel the first game will lose some of it's aura you might say if come to find out, Ellie isn't the only one immune to the virus. I doubt people would allow for a runner or clicker to bite them for a test run. What's going to make them do it? Money?
What I'm trying to say here is that there is no other option for a possible sequel, but to have Ellie and Joel return. Not only would it be hard to come to grip with the exclusion of Ellie and Joel from the game, but it would be hard for me to even consider buying the game if I know they weren't going to be in it as lead characters. I know I said that twice but the ending wasn't perfect, it was probably the most sequel baiting, incomplete, "is that it?" endings I've ever come across. I didn't feel a sense of completion at all like I do with most video games when I actually beat it. In fact it feels like I've been waiting for part two since 2013 and I hope that we hear something about it during 2016 after Uncharted 4 is release.
Here are some final honest thoughts however. If a sequel does get release and does star Ellie as the lead protagonist, I'll buy the entire collection bundle first day. It would help Ellie surpass or at least get close to the level of Clementine from Telltale Games "The Walking Dead" series or even Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. It would also have to be the very last game of the series. Ending at two games would be ideal as it wouldn't do much for Ellie afterwards. She was 14, probably 15 by the end, meaning that she still has some room to grow. Kill off Joel, give Ellie the keys to the car and let her drive off into the sunset along with the title as she should. This isn't "Fallout", "Elder Scrolls", "Dark Souls" or "Bloodbourne". The game is known for these two characters as much as "Uncharted" is known for Nathan Drake, not for it's brutal nature, you should expect it to be brutal and not a fields of flowers with the occasional bee buzzing too close to your ear drum. Replace Nathan Drake or Lara Croft from their respective games and lets see how that goes.
Thanks for reading. This was a light honest blog, but expect things to get juicy soon. Please comment as I would love to have some friendly conversations or even arguments on the topics.Bye!

Excited About Knowing Nothing
Does anyone even know what I mean when I say "Excited about knowing nothing"? If you don't, sit back and let me explain. I'm TJP by the way which are the initials to my full name and also refers to the three things I feel are needed in life which are Trust, Joy and Pain. I will definitely talk about these things in a later blog, but for now let us stay on the topic of "Excited About Knowing Nothing".
No, I'm not saying I have no knowledge. That last line was for the people who probably won't understand even if it was read to them by God himself and Morgan Freeman doing a duet. What I mean by this is that I'm excited about tackling a world I don't have much knowledge off. Yes I've notice we live in a time where finding information on something is about as easy as getting a dog to chase it's own tail, getting it confuse with some leftover squirrel intestine from it's lunch. In all seriousness, the world of professional writing is a new one for me. I haven't gotten anything publish or even seen out in public to the point to where I'm as visible as a dead pixel on a turned off television set. That won't stop me from achieving though and the start of this blog is to prove it.
I've actually have written short stories, poems, short plays and even made some sequels to some of my favorite video games such as "The Last of Us" and yet none of that means nothing until now. What am I excited about then you may be asking. Despite some recent failed attempts to contact some of today's best writers with my most recent attempt to contact Neil Druckmann the "Creative Director" and "Writer" for Naughty Dog for a chance at showing him my abilities, I still remain positive in something eventually coming. This sounds like a bunch of me, me, me at this point don't it? Well in fact this is about me reaching out to you, the readers, anyone for a chance to prove myself as a writer especially for the video game industry.
Creating stories is something I love to do and I know absolutely nothing about getting these stories to the people I feel can help me achieve a dream of mine. Writing and playing video games are two things I love to do and I dream about combining the two almost every second of the day that I'm able to breathe.
In other words, something hit me hard this week. I didn't want to wait for my college degree no more, something told me to start chasing it now, a career as a writer. At twenty-three years of age, I'm more hungry than ever before and this blog is the start of me getting my name out. I'm exciting about not knowing what to expect and I hope you guys can bare with me on this journey. Thank you for reading!
What my Blogs are about
I can be brutally honest about some things that I'm passionate about and sometimes that can cause a lot of unwanted tension, but in the right cases a lot of wanted attention. My blog "If I'm Being Honest" will be exactly that, me being as completely honest about something I feel strongly on and whatever you guys would like me to discuss. I love video games, anime, professional wrestling, Pokemon, in other words I'm kind of a nerd. Nerds know how to have fun and that's what I plan on doing with you guys and this blog. I also might start a YouTube channel, but that will ultimately fall on how well the blogs do.
My schedule for blogging hasn't been deciding, but I will no doubt be blogging for the foreseeable future. If you love video games or anything someone might described as "Nerdy", stick around for some "Nerdy" stuff.
Don't boo me on that last line, I'm saving the good stuff for the blog post...not this one though...okay time to go.
